Susanne Darre is a Norwegian composer and pianist who creates modern classical compositions inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Norway. Her debut album "Fragile" features evocative piano melodies that capture the serenity and emotions of the region. It encapsulates the fragility and resilience of life through poignant compositions expressing vulnerability, yearning, dreams, and loss. Recorded predominantly within the rustic confines of her weather-beaten barn amidst the unforgiving Arctic winters, Susanne's old acoustic piano resonates with a haunting beauty, each note imbued with the chill of the surrounding air. "With cold fingers, gloves, several wool sweaters and scarf, I recorded the pieces, warming my fingers between each recording." she adds. The album's centerpiece is the piano's timbre shifting in harmony with the whims of nature—its temperature, humidity, and even the creaks of the aged wood echoing the symphony of life's imperfections. Susanne Darre's multifaceted talents are on full display in 'Fragile,' a stunning piano album that showcases both her technical mastery and unique artistic vision.
